TOPIC: Managing Your Tax Season
Course Description:
This program covers the full range of managing a tax season and is completely updated to include material in the 2017 TCJA and how to use the Act to provide benefits to your clients. Covered will be experiences with work flow management, smart scanning, tax return review techniques, uses of over 60 checklists, deliverables to clients that also can be used as review, training and planning tools, effective preparer and reviewer training methods, providing tax clients with additional needed and essential services, pricing and billing procedures, practical client return scheduling and creating an exciting and more profitable tax season. Ed has presented versions of this program for over 35 years to over 10,000 accountants, EAs and tax preparers. This will be a practical program focused on providing better service to clients, having staff and partners work more effectively to provide those services, generating additional revenues and having more fun during the “twelve month” tax season.

Edward Mendlowitz, CPA, is a partner at WithumSmith+Brown, PC and is one of Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People in Accounting. Ed is accredited as a personal financial specialist by the AICPA; is admitted to practice and has argued cases before the United States Tax Court; testified twice before the House Ways and Means Committee on Tax Reform, Fairness and Equity; is an MBA professor and has been on the Bottom Line / PersonalPanel of Experts for Taxes since the publication’s inception over 35 years ago. Ed took and passed the EA exam in 1963 soon after graduating college
Ed is also the author of 27 books, and has written over 1500 professional articles and developed and presented over 300 professional speeches and webinars. Ed’s practice management techniques have been reported on in The Wall Street Journal, the Journal of Accountancy and many other publications.
