It is that time of year again when SJCOE STEM Programs secures diverse scientist and engineer volunteers for the upcoming Dinner with a Scientist event.  On Thursday, November 8th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm we will have over 200 students eager to learn about all what you do and have done in your career.  We ask all volunteers to provide hands-on items at a designated table where you will interact with a maximum of 8 students at a time for four seperate rotations. Since you are our guests of honor, dinner and dessert is on us.

We ask you to arrrive 30 minutes (4:30pm) early to set up your table, review the outline of the evening and perhaps get an opportunity to speak with other volunteers in the room. Please bring something from your profession that the students can see, manipulate or experience that would give them a better understanding of what you do.  In previous years this has included; robots, insects, computer simulations, cameras, slides of tissue samples (we can provide microscopes), a Geiger counter, etc.
