from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM EDT
As a young child, did you make a space ship from a box or take apart your mom’s toaster, or even make and re-make your paper airplane to make it go faster? This is making and tinkering and engineering. Children tinker when they take things apart and figure out how to put things together. They ask questions, share their findings and collaborate with each other as they solve problems. Participants will understand the process as they work in small and large group activities. This workshop is based on the book Making and Tinkering with STEM by Cate Heroman.
Educators will receive a complimentary copy of the book Making and Tinkering with STEM by Cate Heroman.
