Wisconsin Standards for Science:
Implementing the NEW Standards
Team Training

The new standards are meant to support a vision for students’ science learning including skills, understanding or attitudes. Educators must work together to determine whether their efforts are moving students closer to their shared vision for science. Implementing new standards takes time and commitment; it requires several years of learning, implementing, and reflecting.

Join CESA #1 for year 1 of training. These workshops will cover:

Module 1:  A New Vision for Science Education: 3D Learning and Instructional Shifts
Module 2:  Unpacking the Wisconsin Standards for Science (WSS)
Module 3:  Learning Targets and Assessment
Module 4:  Developing a Plan for Realizing Your Vision

Workshops will be facilitated by Cathy Drago, a K-12 instructional coach and professional development leader for the Sussex Hamilton School District.

This workshop is available in two formats: train-the-trainer or team training. This registration is for the team format. If you meant to register for the train-the-trainer training, click here.

Participants should bring a fully charged laptop.
