Yoga Nidra means "sleep with awareness". Essentially it is a technique that takes us to the same healing brain waves that we go to when we are sleeping. This can be deeply relaxing but the practice is so much more than just a relaxation technique. When accessing these deeper levels of consciousness we tune in to our innate qualities of wisdom, compassion, and joy. Regular practitioners of yoga nidra have noticed that their chronic pain and tension lessened, they felt more creative, they spontaneously gave up habits that were not good for them, and they felt a more peaceful connection with life. 

Please join Julia as she guides you through this time tested and honored practice, one that has been led through lineages of yogis for thousands of years. We will first discuss how the practice works and will follow with mild movement and breathing exercises to prepare for the guided meditation. Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down in savasana and is accessible to all.
