About the Speaker:
Francine D. Chuchanis is the Director of Entitlement Rights and a State Certified Long-Term Care Ombudsman in the Elder Rights Division at Direction Home Akron Canton Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities, where she has been employed for 15 years. Francine has served as Direction Home Akron Canton's Medicare specialist since 2002 and is responsible for Medicare education, training, and appeals. She is the Regional MyCare Ohio Ombudsman and is responsible for assisting with MyCare Ohio Medicaid and Medicare complaints, appeals, and consumer education. Ms. Chuchanis has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Akron.
