 Fees- (Limited to 10 riders)

Trail Horse Retreat Weekend $1055.00 per rider (includes entire week of horsemanship, trail riding and group activities/tours & cattle drive) & farrier for any needed repairs during the week. 

Includes rv site & 1 stall for Monday through Wednesday night.  Primitive camping Thursday-Saturday. 

 

 Weekend  Schedule:

  -Trail Horse Retreat  designed to help develop the trail horse. Build confidence in both horse & rider.  We are excited to have the opportunity to offer this amazing cattle drive.  

 Monday through Wednesday- trail riding workshops with introduction to working cattle. 

Thursday is a short travel day to set up and get ready to begin driving cattle on Friday.  Camp will move  one night Saturday with help moving trailers to new locations. 

Monday @ 7:00pm-Meet & Greet Campfire Social  with snacks & lots of conversation. 

Wednesday -Group Potluck Dinner

Lunch & Dinner provided for Friday & Saturday. (live entertainment Saturday) 

Sunday- departure day

Join us for a week of fun with your horse for  and a

Real Live Cattle Drive! 

Inspiration, Education & Relaxation 

in this unique area of Alabama 

    

For all levels of horse & riders.  

 We have a fun week planned with prepartion for our cattle drive on Monday -Wednesday.  Then we will drive the herd Friday & Saturday and enjoy some meals along the way and LIVE Entertainment. 

 

Take a step back in time and get the Real Cowboy Experience! 

Get A Long Little Doggies.......Spend 3 nights and 2 days enjoying the smell of cattle and  beauty of the countryside while driving the herd! 

 

 

     

 

 

Horseman & Clinician Joe Most & his horse Tuff will be assisting riders and their horse with skills to improve their communication & relationship throughout the week.

 

 

          

 

 

 

   What to expect-

We will meet up on Monday in Troy, AL to get the week started.

Monday - Wednesday will provide amenities including rv site with full hook up and stall.  Horsemanship & cattle handling workshops along with trail riding available with PPE. 

Thursday we will travel just a short distance  meet up with some Cowboys to set up for the Cattle Drive to begin. 

Thursday - Saturday will offer primitive camping, some meals (lunch & dinner Fri. & Sat.) & LIVE  Entertainment on Saturday night. 

Get the opportunity to ride a long with real cowboys and see up close what the cowboy life is really like!  Drives will end in the late afternoon early evening with plenty of time to relax.  Don't worry if you or horse are not in shape & super fit  because you can always stop for a break if necessary.  

Enjoy sleeping in your own trailer, good meals and nice scenic drives of approx. 8 miles per day. 

   


Daily there will be educational  trail riding workshops offered for participants that will provide advancement in all areas of horsemanship including trail riding and preparation for our cattle drive days. These workshops will inspire you to try new things with your horse and be creative in your horsemanship.  Each horse is different and may need a different approach to reach the desired goals of the rider.  Our goal is to help you to develop your horsemanship.

                                     

 PARTICIPATION - Pre-Registration is required.   This Retreat is designed for those who wish to improve their enjoyment and safety while trail riding and living their dream with their horse.  Feel at home with a group of supportive like minded riders.  

-Please do not bring a horse that has never been outside an arena or show ring. Horses must have had at least some trail experience prior to the Retreat. If you or your horse have had no trail riding experience, contact PPE for information about what you can do to prepare to participate in a Trail Ride Clinic.  
      

 Group activities during the weekend include a meet & greet social and a group potluck dinner.  Campfire Chats in the evenings.
