Interested in Supporting our Service Project?

Donations of nonperishable, individual serving sized food items for our lunch and snack bag project are being collected at the schools and at the Natick Community Senior Center through Thursday 1/17!  Requested Items are:

  • Applesauce (squeezers/cups) and fruit cups
  • Shelf stable milk boxes (regular, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla)
  • Cereal bars, healthy granola bars or power bars
  • Juice boxes
  • Cookies/ treats (individual serving size packages)
  • Cheese sandwich crackers (individual serving size packages)
  • Individual serving size snacks (pretzels, goldfish, chips, etc.)
  • Individual serving size fruit snacks/ dried fruit
  • Peanut butter sandwich crackers - individual serving size packages
  • Trail mix - individual serving size packages
  • Chef Boyardee meals (individual serving size packages)
  • Cereal boxes/ bowls (individual serving size packages)
  • Packs of brown paper lunch bags

Don’t have time to shop? SPARK Kindness will also be collecting monetary donations to be used for the sole purpose of purchasing additional food items for the lunch and snack bags, and small gift cards (local pizza and coffee shops) to be distributed to older students. CLICK HERE to make a donation.

Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with fellow members of our Natick community.  This inspiring celebration will include:

  • Our Featured Speaker - Jamele Adams, Dean of Studets at Brandeis University 
  • Natick Middle & High School Essay Contest Winners
  • Johnson School 3rd & 4th grade "Peacemakers"

  • Natick High Varsity Jazz Dance Team

Family Volunteering and Community Welcoming Event

 Family Volunteering & Community Welcoming Event will immediately follow the celebration (11AM-Noon in the Wilson Gym.) Light refreshments will be provided. (Registration is not required but is encouraged for planning purposes.) Some highlights:
  • Join us to assemble lunch and snack bags for local kids who need a meal. This year’s MLK Community Service Project is dedicated to ensuring that all children in Natick have access to food over the February school vacation week, when subsidized school meal programs are not available.(Parent/caregiver with students preschool and up -- all are welcome to lend a hand!)
  • Help Pat Conaway of Keep Natick Beautiful build Recycle Buddy Bins and put together the KNB Units (Trash + Buddy Bins) so people can “AdoptASpot” in their own neighborhoods and keep them clean and beautiful!
  • Enjoy interactive activities lead by student groups including Natick High School's Peer Advocates!
  • Meet and greet many of Natick's incredible community partners and learn about their work and offerings at the Community Welcoming Event, with info tables from organizations like Natick METCONatick Together for Youth (NTY), Natick Center Cultural District, Natick Education Foundation and Natick TedX, SPARK Kindness, Natick is UNITED, Natick SEPAC and more!
