MEND Christmas Adoption Program 2018 

MEND’s annual Christmas program provides assistance to low-income families with children (age 14 and under) and adults without dependents including seniors and individuals experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to celebrate the holidays with a range of activities that serve all MEND clients. Families with children submit a self-nomination form and those in most critical need are recommended for a home visit to further assess needs. Upon completion of the home visit those families in most need will be recommended for the adoption program.

The Adoptions Program then matches these families with businesses, schools, church groups, other organizations or families who provide food, toys, new clothing for each family member, and a household item, and deliver these items directly to the recipients.  The remaining families  are provided with a Holiday Feast Box, toy/gift for each child under 14 years of age, books and holiday extras.

If you are new to the program or returning after some time away you may have questions about the program. This year we have an Orientation Night to answer your questions and showcase the MEND Family Christmas Adoption Program. It is recommended that you attend to learn more about this program and how you can help a family during this holiday season.

Adoption Orientation – November 7^th 3pm @ MEND 10641 N. San Fernando Rd. Pacoima, CA 91331, 2^nd Floor Conference Room. 

New for 2018 – November 7^th  Information on your family will be distributed following Orientation.  From 4:00pm – 6:00pm Adoption package distribution will take place.  We will help you make the first contact with the family.
