Resilient Kids Program 

The Resilient Kids Group is a FREE support group for families affected by parental mental illness and addiction. The focus of the group is to help children (ages 8-12)  build resiliency skills which include:

• Identifying and managing feelings (enhance emotional literacy); 
• coping with negative feelings (practicing skills such as asking for help); 
• developing friendships, social skills and having fun with other kids with similar experiences.    

Topics include coping, communication and social skills, mental health education aimed at helping children understand their parent’s illness, peer support, building self-esteem and confidence as well as various relaxation activities

Session 1: September 27 to November 1
Every Thursday from 5:30 - 8:00pm

Dinner and refereshments will be provided. Participants will be required to complete an intake package; WFC Cooridnator will contact you upon registration.
