Please note the following fees. If paying by check, all checks must be received by our office prior to the program taking place. Otherwise, at the door rates will apply. 

PRACTITIONERS
$375 for the following individual sessions:

$2,500 Entire series paid in full 

STUDENTS*
$100 for any individual session

*Please note that the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP™) only allows chiropractic students to take one CCSP course or topic while still enrolled in university. Current doctoral students would take the remainder of the hours required to sit for the CCSP exam after they attain their DC degree. 

Continuing Education credit is available to doctors of chiropractic licensed in IA, IL, IN, and MI. If you are licensed outside of these states, please contact our Postgrad office at postgrad@nuhs.edu to inquire if your board has also approved this course. It is suggested that you register a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your licensing board's CE application deadline. Please note that without advanced notice, there is no guarantee we will be able to obtain CE credit in your state or province. If your professional license falls outside of the chiropractic discipline (e.g. ND, AOM, PT, etc.), and you would like to receive continuing education, please contact us prior to registration.

Chiropractic Sports Physician: 100 Hours 

Times: Saturday, 8:00AM - 6:00PM; Sunday 8:00AM - 1:00PM

Hours: 14.0 hours (per live session; online session credit hours listed below)

Program Description
The 1st 100 hours emphasizes total care of the injured athlete. The program focuses on industrial, community, intramural, and recreational athletes who sustain, or are at risk of sustaining, sports-related injuries. 

Each of the four live session is an intense workshop that combines lecture, demonstration, and hands-on training leading to proficiency in the skills pertinent for the chiropractic sports physician. In addition to the live sessions, four online courses will be made available. These courses can be taken at any time, and will be followed by an exam to verify participation. Online access will be granted once courses are posted in January of 2019. The live and online sessions will total 100.0 credit hours. Upon completion of all courses, registrants will be eligible to sit for the CCSP Examination. 

Program Objectives
Upon completion of the program, registrants will be able to:

  • Review the basic anatomy, biomechanics, physical and other examination procedures (including imaging), and conservative management protocols for sports related conditions. 
  • Diagnosis, treat, and manage sports related injuries pertaining to industrial, community, intramural and recreational athletes.
