Whether you are brand new or an experienced educator, please join us for a day-long training on Teaching Sexual Health in Middle School

Based on feedback from middle school educators, we designed a scope and sequence for teaching sexual health for students in grades 6-8 that aligns with the National Sexuality Education Standards.

During the training, you will receive and share up-to-date lessons, activities, and resources appropriate for the middle school grades.  We invite those starting with an empty slate, as well as those with their own tools of the trade, to join us for a day of learning together how to present factual, interesting, and much needed sexual health topics to youth in grades 6 – 8.

During the training, participants will:

  • Understand content and methodologies recommended for a middle school sexual health program.
  • Identify lessons and activities that promote a comprehensive approach to sexual health education for middle school age youth.
  • Share materials and network with educators from around the state.
  • Leave with a middle school scope and sequence curriculum that will prepare middle school youth to be sexually healthy teens.

Who should attend?

Middle school educators, nurses, counselors, and others committed to implementing sexual health education for youth in grades 6-8.

Space is limited to 25 participants.

What is the cost?

The cost of the training is $35 which includes lunch and materials.

Scholarships may be available upon request as funding allows.
