Social Security 101

Social Security benefits papers

A session to share information with middle school, high school, and adult families about Social Security, including who is eligible and how the process works.

We are gearing up for another important training session!

Susan Harrell - newOur next session, Social Security 101, will help families and educators make sense out of what can be a very overwhelming process: Social Security benefits.  Whether you are already receiving a benefit check or are still trying to figure out which type of benefits your family member or student would be eligible for, it's never too early or too late to get this information.

This session will be presented by Susan Harrell of WISE and will cover some basic information you need to know as you think about applying for benefits and start to plan for how services change as students (and parents) grow older.

This session is designed to help give families and educators the most current information available about Social Security in a presentation that will break down the numbers into workable scenarios and allow plenty of time for questions.  Some people attend both Social Security 101 and 102 sessions each year and we have had feedback that it is helpful to attend these sessions more than once.  Please join us Feb. 26th to get information about important considerations to make when thinking about and planning for a safe and happy future for the whole family.

This session will take place at Innovative Services NW.

Registration is not required, but we appreciate you taking the time to register as it helps us to plan for materials and refreshments. Register Now!
