Behind the Scenes Tour of the Clements Library

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Clements Library.  We begin with a presentation about our namesake and highlights from the collection.  Then we discuss our award-winning renovation and expansion project while walking around behind-the-scenes.  The tour concludes in the beautifual Avenir Foundation Room with an opportunity to view the current exhibit, The D.N. Diedrich Collection of Manuscript Americana: 17th-20th Century.

This exhibit is a vast selection of original and authentic manuscripts in the categories of religion, education, speech, government, literature, music, philanthropy, and the World Wars. The collection includes, but is not limited to, materials covering all phases of American education, philanthropic foundations, patriotic songs of America, family life, the perpetuation, articulation, and extension of Christianity, the Presidency of the United States, and speech manuscripts by historically important speakers.

Have more than 10 guests? Schedule a private guided tour to explore the Clements Library and the current exhibit for your party. To do so, please email clementsgroupvisit@umich.edu.
