Manufacturing Matters Information Center

• NTA is providing Western Massachusetts companies with access to FREE Lean and Basic Manufacturing Skills training programs.  In order to participate in this program you must:

• Must work for an establishment in Massachusetts
• Register one month in advance of the class start date
• Your company must provide a Certificate of Good Standing 

Project funding is provided by a Workforce Training Fund Grant through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office & Workforce Development. The grant program is administered by the Commonwealth Corporation.

Because Manufacturing Matters the WTFP will pay for your employees to participate in one or more of these free programs. Here is what the grant provides:

Companies with 100 or fewer employees;

Are eligible to receive up to $15,000 of free training per calendar year - $30,000 over two years        Can be spent on one employee or several

Companies with greater than 100 employees; PENDING APROVAL

Receive this training at a 50% cost reduction 

Are eligible to receive up to $30,000 of training per calendar year - $60,000 over two years

Basic Manufacturing Skills

• Shop Math - A 16 hour course
• Basic Blueprint Reading  - A 24 hour course
• Measurement/Metrology - A 24 hour course
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT) Basic - A 16 hour course
• GD&T Advanced - A 24 hour course

LEAN

• Intro to Lean - An 8 hour course
• 5S - A 24 hour course
• Standardized Work - A 24 hour course
• Process Mapping & Value Stream Analysis - A 24 hour course
• Corrective Action, Root Cause - A 24 hour course
• Leading in a Lean Organization - A 40 hour course
