Research has shown that the ability to compare and contrast and summarize in writing is a "best bet" for raising student achievement. Comparative thinking is emphasized across all content areas in the Montana Common Core Standards. This session will provide participants with an explicit method for teaching compare and contrast and summarization across all content areas.
