Laurie Rood
Founder, BDR, Benefits Done Right

Football season is here! Can a football team win a game without all of their team mates practicing and preparing to bring their best skill sets to their game? You are the team captain of your client’s financial success. Helping to ensure that they can continue paying for things if they become disabled is something that should be discussed so that they do not fumble. Join us for our October meeting to learn more about income protection. Our speaker, Laurie Rood, will be presenting on disability insurance, including individual coverage, group coverage through employers and best practices. See you soon!

About the Speaker(s):

Laurie Rood is the founder of BDR, Benefits Done Right, an insurance
brokerage with a different approach to employee benefit consulting. Based in Sacramento, this awardwinning company combines a national reach  with a local presence. BDR’s comprehensive grasp of insurance complexities and its impact on employers and employees plays a key role in their success.

Laurie is also President of HR Done Right, a firm that delivers best practice human resources programs to companies of all sizes. HR Done Right assists employers in establishing a positive HR culture — a critically important area where a proactive approach to employment law compliance can save hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Laurie graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where she played tennis on the intercollegiate team. Her love of nature sends her outdoors in her free time, and her favorite pastimes include golf, hiking, daily walks to the gym and of course, tennis. She loves hanging out with family and friends. Laurie has been married for 31 years to Keith Rood, CPA and has two sons. She has been an insurance advisor for over 25 years.

Transparency and education are key values for BDR. Laurie says, “BDR advises clients on the most effective use of technology and on forwardthinking management of human capital. Today, everyone is doing more with less. We help companies do that in the most strategic and costeffective way.”

Laurie is passionate about making a positive difference in people’s financial lives by providing insurance protection and leveraging human capital.
