Embracing Disruptive Innovation in Healthcare: Leadership Implications

Disruptive Innovation...changing the way we do things as we know it. What does this mean in healthcare and how can leaders strategically navigate and lead change? To achieve their organization's unique vision, healthcare leaders must embrace uncertainty by incorporating flexibility into their planning. The landscape for how we provide care is forever changing. Strategic responses to innovation in healthcare are critical for success. Please join us for a lively and interactive presentation with Jim Austin, Executive Educator, Author, and Healthcare Executive.

Jim is a former senior executive at Baxter Healthcare and heads his own strategy and executive development firm, JH Austin Associates, Inc. He is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Brown University in the Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership Program and a faculty member at Duke Corporate Education, where he delivers senior-level seminars on strategy, innovation and decision-making. Jim's latest book, " Transformative Planning: How Your Healthcare Organization Can Strategize for an Uncertain Future" was published in April 2018.

We look forward to a vibrant, engaging presentation in which Jim will guide healthcare leaders on how to embrace uncertainty, incorporate flexibility into their long-term planning and prepare for a range of potential futures while simultaneously meeting the requirements of today.
