Sea Run Cutthroat Trout Fly Fishing Clinic October 14th, 2018 

Sea Run Cutthroat Trout are the premier trout to target within short drive of the Portland Metro area.  We are offering a Sea Run Cutthroat Trout Fly Fishing Clinic on October 14^th from 10am-2pm through Orvis Portland.

In this Sea Run Cutthroat Clinic we will cover:

• identifying holding water
• fall food sources
• tips & techniques
• fly selection
• equipment

The clinic will meet at a private property on the Trask River, and then everyone will migrate to a public location to continue and fish until 2pm. After that we strongly encourage everyone to stick around and fish with your new foundation of skills.

You will need a valid ODFW license to fish for trout, and you will be responsible for your own fly fishing equipment. Below is a list of what you will need:

• 4-6wt Fly Rod/reel/floating line
• 2x, 3x, or 4x 9’ tapered leader/s (2x and 3x for streamers and 3x and 4x for dries)
• 2X,3x, and 4x tippet
• Poly leader (fast sink)
• Waders/Boots/rain coat
• Wading staff (for those who may need one)
• Flies [Streamers – Matuka Spruce, BH Racoon, Freshwater Clousers / Dries – October Caddis, Holo Humpies, Chubby Chernobyl (smaller sizes), Parachute Adams, Indicator Parachute Flies]
• Landing net (optional – but great for taking photos of fish)
• Camera (optional)
