Speaker: Gene K. Balzer, Ph.D, FASNM FAAA

Prior to leading health care organizations for over 25 years, Dr. Balzer was trained as an Audiologist and clinical Neurophysiologist at the University of Cincinnati with a Minor in business administration.  As a clinician and medical entrepreneur, Dr. Balzer specialized in the surgical treatment of spasticity in cerebral palsy and in stereotactic spine and brain surgery.  His clinical path included developing the Minneapolis NeuroScience Institute and founding the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring (1989), the American Board of Neurophysiological Monitoring (1996) and the American NeuroMonitoring Association (2012).
