Amid the intensified national dialogue around gender-based violence and the heightened visibility of survivors' strength and stories, Ten Men and the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence invite local men to stand with us this November at the 5th Annual Men's Summit.
All individuals who identify as male are welcome to attend.
Hosted by Johnson & Wales University in partnership with the Interfraternity Council, the Men's Summit will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 5:30PM to 8:00PM.
In the era of #MeToo and #BelieveSurvivors, many of us are asking ourselves what we can do to change the culture of violence in order to prevent abuse. If we want to build a world where all people can thrive without the fear or threat of violence, we need prepared, engaged bystanders to help create real social change.
As part of this vision, we need men in our communities to step up, speak out, and challenge the harmful gender norms that perpetuate men's violence against women and girls.
Join us for the 5th Annual Men's Summit, where Ten Men members will lead conversations around preventing violence, promoting healthy masculinity, and creating the cultural shift we need to end domestic violence.
Please register by Friday, November 2nd, and help spread the word!
The Men's Summit is free to attend! Doors open at 5:00PM. A complimentary dinner will be provided.
This event is designed for and led by men who want to play an active role in preventing domestic violence in our communities. All individuals who identify as male are welcome.
What is Ten Men?
Ten Men is a statewide prevention initiative of the RICADV, made up of Rhode Island men from diverse walks of life who share a common vision--a world without domestic violence.
While most men do not use violence in their relationships, many men remain silent in the face of other men's violence. Ten Men is committed to breaking that silence.
