Practice Based Coaching

Coach Training

The goal of Practice-Based Coaching (PBC), is to support teachers’ use of high-quality teaching practices with confidence and competence. Implementation of high-quality teaching practices, in turn, supports children’s progress towards school readiness goals. Successful implementation of PBC requires planning at the grantee level, systematic implementation, and ongoing evaluation. The Ohio Head Start Association and the STGi Ohio Training & Technical Assistance Team are excited to provide an opportunity to learn best practices in implementing coaching in early childhood settings. The Early Childhood Specialists will guide grantee teams in planning for implementation and evaluation of PBC in their programs during this two day training for Coaches that builds upon the previous Practice-Based Coaching events.

A PROGRAM'S participation in a Leadership Academy Part 1 is not a requirement but programs who have participated in the Leadership Academy will be given preference in registration for this event.

Registration is limited to 25 participants.

Registration Fee: $190 (includes lunch both days) Wednesday, November 28 and Thursday, November 29 - 9:00am to 4:30pm each day
