Join SVJI at Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault for Beyond the White Van: The Realities of Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking in Rural Communities.

About
Sexual exploitation and sex trafficking are issues in the national spotlight, but myths and false narratives often create misconceptions of the realities surrounding trafficking and exploitation of youth.  This webinar will address the basics of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking, how it presents in rural spaces, and steps that multi-disciplinary teams can take to respond to victims/survivors.

3 Learning Outcomes:
  • Provide fundamental knowledge of sex trafficking and exploitation
  • Gain understanding of the prevalence of trafficking and exploitation in rural areas
  • Discuss ways that multi-disciplinary teams (ex. SARTs) can improve the response to victims/survivors
