A Roadmap to Entrepreneurial Success

A workshop focusing on the components of a successful business plan:
  • Clear, succinct writing style
  • Compelling business description
  • Importance of market research
  • Effective development of meaningful financial projections
The plan consists of four sections: Business Description, Management and Operations, Marketing and Sales, and Financial Projections. Also included is an application for funding; along with a discussion of funding resources, both conventional and alternative.

The workshop teaches you to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your business and your competition. It will help you determine the overall feasibility of the plan. The important aspects of starting and operating a business will be discussed, along with applying financial data to the decision processes.

The program includes handouts that are valuable resources in writing a successful business plan.

ABOUT our Facilitator:

Cheryl Smith, SCORE Volunteer

Cheryl is a Small Business Owner and Adviser in Metro Atlanta where she leverages her industry knowledge to help business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits build capacity and grow or remain fiscally sound. She is also a State Approved Professional Trainer (Licensed by Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning), as well as a SCORE Certified Mentor.

Cheryl earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her Master's degree from Kennesaw State University. Her graduate degree is in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Administration. Cheryl has spent her nonprofit career supporting children and families in various front-line, supervisory, Director and Executive Director level positions; and, she has written several federal, state, local and foundation grants in support of organizations that I have been aligned with. Cheryl's long standing mission is to help others reach their highest and best potential.
