SCORE Boston Workshop

“Right Sourcing”: What to Keep and What to Give Away in Your Business

In this workshop, you will learn how to determine which business services and activities should be kept in-house and which ones can be outsourced to third parties.

Specific topics include:

  • Internal and external sourcing options and preferences

  • Benefits and implications of outsourcing decisions

  • The financials of outsourcing

  • The “Undeniables” – those services that should never be outsourced

  • Review and alignment of third-party contracts with business objectives and requirements

This workshop is intended for business owners and managers who are faced with making decisions about what they or their staff should do themselves and the tasks/services should be outsourced.

This workshop is sponsored by SCORE Boston and the Kirstein Business Library at the Boston Public Library.

This workshop is presented by SCORE counselor Joe Wolke. He draws on more than 35 years of business management experience to effectively coach and train business leaders in defining, communicating, and implementing core business requirements. Most recently, Joe held the position of Managing Principal and IT Strategy Practice Director for the Forsythe Solutions Group.
