2019 California Immunization Coalition Summit
Today's Vision: Tomorrow's Reality 
April 8th and 9th*, 2019
Riverside, CA


Please join us for the 2019 California Immunization Coalition Summit to be held at The Riverside Convention Cener in Riverside, California. The theme of our 2019 Summit is Today's Vision: Tomorrow's Realityand will focus on utilizing our public health successes to engage with new partners, grow our Coalition network and educate and support our communities to make our collective vision for immunizations a reality for all Californians. For over 12 years, the CIC Summit has brought together partners and colleagues from throughout California and beyond to share ideas, highlight successes, and identify partnerships. 

Be sure to mark your calendar, make your travel plans, and register today to be a part of the great work we do to make today's vision for immunizations into tomorrow's reality.

2019 Summit Objectives:
  • Provide support and technical assistance to enhance existing education, communication, and outreach efforts
  • Share successful strategies and best practices to strengthen local and statewide advocacy efforts
  • Review new recommendations, issues and trends in immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases
  • Disseminate innovative approaches to promote and deliver immunizations across the lifespan

*Note: The annual meeting of  California local health department immunization coordinators will take place on Wednesday, April 10th. Information and agenda for that meeting will be emailed separately to immunization coordinators.

Who Should Attend 
Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, educators, immunization stakeholders/coalition members, advocates and other providers from the public and private sector who are interested in learning more about current immunization issues, strategies and activities. 
 
CIC Immunization Champion Awards
The Natalie J. Smith, MD Immunization Champion and the Ronald P. Bangasser, MD Leadership award winners will be honored at our annual luncheon held at the Summit on Tuesday, April 9. For Physicians: 
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association's CME Accreditation Standards (IMQ/CMA) through the Joint Sponsorship of the Perinatal Advisory Council: leadership, Advocacy of the Perinatal Advisory Council - Leadership, Advocacy, and Consultation (PAC/LAC) and California Immunization Coalition. (PAC/LAC) is accredited by the IMQ/CMA to provide continuing education for physicians. PAC/LAC takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. 
 
For Nurses:
The Perinatal Advisory Council - Leadership, Advocacy, and Consultation (PAC/LAC) is an approved provider by the California Board or Registered Nursing Provider CEP 5862. CIC is in the process of applying for approval for CEU/CME/CHES credits and will post information regarding approval to our website.
 
For CHES: 
This activity is sponsored by the Perinatal Advisory Council: Leadership, Advocacy, and Consultation (PAC/LAC), a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. CIC is in the process of applying for approval for CEU/CME/CHES credits and will post information regarding approval to our website.

Refunds or Cancellations:
Please note that cancellations made prior to February 8, 2019 will be refunded, but will be charged a 10% processing fee. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE MADE AFTER THE POSTED DATE OR FOR NO-SHOWS. Cancellations need to be made in writing by letter, fax or email to info@immunizeca.org (no phone calls are accepted).
