CI101 - Creativity and Innovation Training and Certification - A Member Value (Free!)

Overview

This is a 2-day interactive class designed to stimulate the students and provide them with key tools that will improve their creativity and innovation. Students identify opportunities and create an innovation project. Individuals taking this class will also take an online questionnaire that will immediately analyze their environment and point out weaknesses in the system. Students will receive the feedback reports in the class. The Bronze Medal will be awarded for successful completion of the class.

This class is based upon the book “The Creativity Toolkit authored by Dr. Harrington.

DAY 1

  • 8:00 am – Introductions. Definitions and Gain Understanding (HJH)
  • 9:30 AM – Walking Exercise (HJH)
  • 9:50 AM – Break
  • 10:05 AM – Right brain/left brain concepts (CM)
  • 11:45 AM – Fill out the Creativity Form (CM)
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch
  • 1:00 PM – Opportunity Identification (NK)
  • 3:45 PM – Break
  • 4:00 PM – Identification of Personal Opportunities (CM)
  • 4:45 PM – Innovation Maturity Analysis (HJH)
  • 5:00 PM – Class Adjourned (HJH)

DAY 2

  • 8:00 AM – Opportunity Development (NK)
  • 10:00 AM – Break
  • 10:15 AM – Value Proposition (CM)
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch
  • 1:00 PM – Innovation Maturity Analysis Feedback, Opportunity Identification, Opportunity            Development, and Value Proposition
  • 3:00 PM – Presentation and Discussion of Creative Project (CM, HJH, NK)
  • 4:45 PM – Review of Final Exam and Evaluation of Class
  • 5:00 PM – Certificate of Attendance/Bronze Medal Certification

Prerequisites
  • This class is scheduled on Friday and Saturday as a value to members of ASQ Section 613. Attendees must be able to attend both days to complete the class successfully and receive certification.
