Adolescent Focused Motivational Interviewing Workshop - Beginner - Reno 


Learn how to apply motivational interviewing strategies in real world practice to increase your effectiveness in identifying risk behaviors and counseling adolescents toward positive behavior changes. This MI Training includes mandatory online education modules to be completed  at your convenience prior to the in-person training. 
Please take note- you must complete a short series of online modules (est. time to complete: 5-6 hours) by Wednesday, January 16th, 2019. These online modules are REQUIRED to be completed before the live workshop event as they contain necessary background preparation.

Workshop Objectives:

  1. The participant will be able to identify appropriate motivational interviewing strategies to promote adolescent behavior change
  2. The participant will be able to describe how to apply and integrate motivational interviewing strategies into brief client interventions for behavior change.
  3. The participant will be able to identify how to use MI strategies to overcome resistance.
