We Have Puppets! Now What?
Moving puppets off the shelf and into action in the early childhood classroom.

Puppets are a wonderful tool for educators interested in new outlets for engaging students, but can quickly become a distraction without training in puppeteering. The session is designed to give early childhood educators hands-on training in using puppetry as an interactive tool for learning. 

In this workshop, participants can expect to:

• Develop basic skills needed to be an effective puppeteer
• Identify how puppets can be used to develop language skills and address social and emotional needs/challenges
• Learn the unique needs and demands of different puppet forms
• Explore how to introduce puppets and puppeteering to students
• Create their own puppets
