Presented by

Art Therapy is a Mental Health profession in which clients, facilitated by the Art Therapist, use various art materials and the creative process to explore their feelings, thoughts and behaviours. By their nature, negative life events are difficult to express in words alone. Art expression within the safety of the therapeutic relationship can help to improve self-expression and self-awareness while fostering inner strength and growth.

This Webinar will:

1. Provide an overview of the field of Art Therapy.

2. Discuss the role of Art Therapy at CPRI; the process, goals and benefits.

3. Introduce common Art Therapy tools and techniques that can used when supporting Children and Youth.

Target Audience: Clinicians, Educators and Caregivers.

There is no cost for webinars. Webinars use an online platform called Adobe Connect, which requires you to have a computer, internet connection, and access to a phone line. Adobe Connect works best in updated browsers such as Google Chrome or FireFox. To test your connection, please visit the Adobe Connect diagnostic page.

CPRI webinars have limited capacity and are expected to fill quickly. Webinars that are in high demand may be offered again in the future. If you have registered and for any reason you cannot attend, please contact CPRI's Education & Learning Services CPRI.Educate@ontario.ca to cancel your registration.

Your reservation may not guarantee admission. As our events are free, it’s our policy to overbook. So we strongly recommend that you join the webinar early to access the meeting room before we reach the limit of users our system can support. As a courtesy for those who could not register, please contact cpri.educate@ontario.ca if you cannot attend the session.

**All of our webinars will take place from 10:30am-12:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) Unless otherwise specified.
