Geminid Meteor Shower Viewing Event

How do you host a star party?  You planet!

This winter, VINS will hold its second annual event to celebrate and view the Geminid meteor shower.  Journey into VINS’ StarLab for an unforgettable experience.  Immersed in a view of our night sky, we will overlay that vista with a map of the constellations and hear the story of the Gemini and other figures from Greek Mythology.

Afterwards, grab a cup of cocoa and move outside as the real show begins in the sky above us.  Known as the best meteor shows of the year, the Geminid meteor shower will provide amazing star gazing opportunities.

This is your chance to catch a glimpse of a shooting star and learn some of the fascinating tales behind familiar constellations.

Cost: Free for VINS Members, $8.00 Adults, $5.00 Youth*

Reservations for seating in the StarLab are required as space is limited.  Seatings for the StarLab will be at 7:00 pm, 7:45 pm and 8:30 pm.  Reserve your spot today.  Register online or call (802)359-5000 x245.

*This family-friendly event is open to all.  Be aware that the dark environment of the StarLab may not be suitable for all ages.  Please contact VINS in advance if you have mobility limitations so that we may best serve you during your StarLab experience.
