We are excited about our Step Four course in the Understanding Yourself series. In the first three Steps we shared a range of concepts that many people have found to be very helpful. We are now going to push those insights much further. The value of the ideas shared so far is that they open doors into understanding why we think and feel the way we do - and therefore how we can change the way we think, feel and behave. In this course we will look at the inner workings of those concepts and give ourselves an even greater opportunity to make fundamental changes in the way we live our lives. Everything you have already found helpful will be unpacked and applied more fully.

Course content

This course completes the quartet of Steps and, as such, attempts to 'nail down' the concepts shared throughout previous courses.

During the weekend we will discover -

  • The power of our inner stance - and how to change it.
  • The importance of living in our introvert and how to achieve this.
  • How to make each temperament ingredient work for us, not against us.

Arrival time is from 5.00pm onwards on Friday 8th March with refreshments and introductions at 5.45pm ready for a prompt 6.00pm start. The weekend concludes by 5.00pm on Sunday. A full programme will be sent to you nearer the time. Please click for more detailed information on the course.

Comments from a previous Step Four course

'I found it encouraging both to see how I've journeyed and grown and how to continue on the journey. It's good to know it's alright being who God made you.'

'Hard work but good! A journey to the interior, an adventure to discover who we are, finding our way to better relationships.'

'I found it really useful/challenging looking at the maturity of the introvert.'

'I've learnt it's OK to live in the whole of who I am, negative bits as well as positive bits, and that the negative bits are not to be ashamed of but are part of my being. I need to learn what to do with them but not feel bad about them or ashamed of them.'

Accommodation is in comfortable holiday cottages at School Farm Cottages. As this is a residential weekend, guests will be sharing the cottages. Please let us know if you have any mobility requirements.

The cost is 130 per person, 220 per couple. A non-refundable deposit of 40 per person or 60 per couple secures your place on the course, with the balance being payable two weeks before the weekend. The non-residential event fee is 80.00.

Please use the 'register now' link to make payment or if you prefer to pay by cheque or bank transfer please contact me using the email address at the top left of this page. Prices are inclusive of accommodation, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels and all meals as well as course notes.

I do hope we will be seeing you in Suffolk.

Every blessing,
