Motorcycle Basic Rider Weekend & NEW Basic Rider 2 Courses

Give us a weekend and we'll make you a biker!  OR a better one!

If you have always wanted to ride a motorcycle, the basic class is for you!  Basics will be covered to get you started in the fascinating and fun world of motorcycle riding. This class will waive both the driving and written portion for the state license, and some insurance companies will give a discount on your rates. Simply take your competion card to the DMV to apply for your motorcycle endorsement.

Little or no knowledge of the operation of a motorcycle is required for this Motorcycle Safety Foundation sanctioned course.  

Motorcycles will be supplied.  Enroll early; space is limited to 10 riders

  • You will need:
  • To be able to ride a bicycle
  • Possess a valid driver's license (motorcycle learner's permit is not required to participate)
  • Have parents or guardians sign a consent/release form if you are under the age of 18
  • Use motorcycles that are provided  *Basic rider 2 participants must provide own motorcycle and required documents as listed
  • Dot approved helmet (three-quarter or full face)
  • Sturdy over-the-ankle boots
  • Full-finger gloves
  • Long sleeved shirt or jacket
  • Long Pants (Without holes or ripped spots)
  • Eye protection
  • Valid ID (driver’s license or photo ID)  
  • Rain Gear in case of rain
  • Drinking Water & Snacks

NEW- Basic Rider Course 2                                                                                      New bike? Need a refresher? This one-day course gives you the opportunity to sharpen riding skills on your own motorcycle.  Class meets from 9am-5pm and costs $99.  Copy of current liability insurance and motorcycle endorsement, permit, or license must be submitted to The LearningForce office PRIOR to class.

The Basic course concludes with a knowledge test and a skill evaluation. Riders who pass will receive a Missouri Motorcycle Safety Program Completion Card. Students may take the completion card to the MSHP examination station, and the skill portion of the licensing exam is waived. Rider will be required to take the knowledge test and eye exam to obtain your endorsement. Additionally, some insurance companies give a discount on rates for successfully completing the course. There is no guarantee that an individual enrolling in this course will pass or get his or her license.

Each class is limited to 10 students. You may withdraw or change class sessions one week prior to the first class meeting date. Changes or refunds will only be allowed after that time if you slot can be filled in the session for which you registered. Charles Buck instructor.
