"Summer on the Salt" IPA

Release Date: February 2, 2019

Happy Groudhog Day!

Salt River Conservation Workday 2/16/19

From birds, to business, to beer...we all rely on clean water & healthy rivers! Join Audubon, the National Forest Foundation, and Northern Arizona University for a river-focused work day, then celebrate the Salt River at the Gilbert O.H.S.O. with a tropical IPA brewed for the occassion. "Summer on the Salt" features hints of pineapple and guava with a delicious dry finish. It will only be available for a limited time at OHSO and our other partner breweries, Pedal Haus and Oro, so hurry over for a taste. Added after-party bonus: Liberty Wildlife will be at OHSO with live wildlife!

Work will focus on a previously burned area and will include tree-planting, river clean-up, and the construction of protective brush barriers near new plantings.  Plenty of parking is available at the Salt River Tubing Launch Site and free shuttle buses will bring volunteers to the worksite. In addition to feeling really good about a morning's work, participants aged 21+ will also receive special perks from our brewery buddies, as well as a special invite to the after-party at Gilbert O.H.S.O

  • ages 8+ (w/adult) welcome to at work event and after-party
  • tools, gloves, instruction provided
  • come ready to work outdoors (closed-toed shoes, sturdy clothes, sunscreen)
  • water & light snacks provided (bring re-fillable water bottle)

If the event reaches capacity, the birds still need your help!                    On March 16, Audubon is holding a garden workday at Rio Salado from 8am to noon.  Click Here for more info or to sign up for March 16
