Concussion & Vertigo: How to make it
through your workweek

Integra Health Centre is hosting a in-house talk about concussion and vertigo by Sarah Hull, Registered Physiotherapist trained in concussion and vertigo assessment and treatment.

Have you had a concussion in the past and still dealing with symptoms such as headache, dizziness, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, fatigue, fogginess? You might be dealing with post-concussion syndrome, symptoms of which last longer than 7-10 days and can be treated with physiotherapy. It is crucial to manage concussions promptly and appropriately until complete recovery to avoid reinjury.

During this talk, Sarah will also be discussing vertigo. Vertigo is a specific form of dizziness that is caused by vestibular/inner ear dysfunction that feels like a sensation of the world spinning around them and can cause nausea, poor balance, headaches, etc.

Sometimes these two conditions happen together and often the symptoms are quite similar!

Topics covered:
what concussion and vertigo are
what symptoms to look for with concussion and vertigo
what the current protocol is for treatment for concussion and vertigo
what return to play and return to work protocols look like

Join Sarah Hull, PT to learn all about concussion & vertigo and what you can do today!
