SCORE Boston Workshop:

Developing a Start-Up Budget

Launching a new business can be an invigorating experience. However, getting caught up in the excitement and neglecting the details can often lead to failure. Over-spending and running-out of cash are very common mistakes. A realistic Start-up Budget helps the entrepreneur stay on track and keep your eyes on the ultimate goal.

In this workshop you will learn what startup costs are and how to budget for the expenses you will have before your business has any income. This workshop will also help you to determine how much working capital you will need.

In advance of this workshop, you will be sent a template to download on your laptop. If you don’t want to bring your laptop, a handout of the template will be provided for you to make handwritten notes and fill in the blanks.

If you are willing to put in the effort, you could walk away with the foundation of your startup budget and a key piece of your business plan.

(You will need to download the template before the workshop as the internet connection in the conference room may not support the number of people in the workshop).

This workshop is sponsored by SCORE Boston and the Waltham Public Library.

The workshop will be presented by Gloria is a SCORE business counselor and was Director of Finance-Northeast Region - Hearst Television (WCVB TV) at her retirement after a 37-year career.
