Dr. Morgan will take you through a quick journey about why healthy sleep is important and what can go wrong. DSM offers the dentist an opportunity to expand their knowledge base and treat patients with oral appliances who have snoring or OSA, while using all of our familiar skills. Sleep Medicine is a fascinating field and is still rapidly evolving. Plus, there are so many folks out there with Sleep Apnea we’ll never run out of patients!

Dr Morgan will describe his clinical approaches and chairside techniques, including using new technologies, like CBCT and intra-oral imaging/digital impressions. These tools make DSM so easy, you’ll wonder why you waited. He will stress how to approach new, as well as existing patients within your practice, as well as the role of the rest of the dental team, who will enjoy watching lives transforming.

A special segment will be devoted to medical billing and interacting with physicians, an extremely important, but simple part of the puzzle toward re-imbursement.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Morgan is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in 1999. He is recognized as an expert in the field of Dental Sleep Medicine, paleoanthropology of the human pharynx, and lectures nationally and internationally on oral appliance therapy. His team has completed several NIH funded clinical trials and he has authored several peer-reviewed articles and books on the treatment of sleep apnea and snoring with dental appliances.

His current areas of interest include pharyngeal exercise for OSA, human craniofacial growth and development of phenotyping models for successful Oral Appliance Therapy. He has extensive clinical experience in DSM and is now exploring airway CBCT analysis.
