Volunteer Management Basics Certification

Habitat for Humanity of Colorado is pleased to bring Habitat for Humanity International's Volunteer Management Certification program to our region. Participants will receive a certification at the end of the training as well as the tools and resources to train staff at your affiliate.

Participants must commit to providing a training at your affiliate and/or a neighboring affiliate within the region.

Recognize you or your staff with professional development through a Certificate in Volunteer Management Basics, a new training opportunity offered by HFHI. The training will cover the basics of good volunteer management, from designing position descriptions to program evaluation. Participants will learn from a nationally utilized curriculum that will serve to establish a common language, baseline of understanding, and sharing of best practices and tools around successful volunteer management.  The certificate program was launched at the 2015 National Affiliate Conference, don’t miss this opportunity to become part of a growing network of volunteer management professionals.  The training is appropriate for new and experienced staff.

“I had a wonderful time at this training. I loved the chance to be able to share with others in regards to the specifics we do at our affiliate. I think it makes for a more fruitful atmosphere when it is face to face with open dialogue. I greatly enjoyed my time and being able to learn and network with others. Thank you so much for sharing this information with us and giving us the opportunity to share with one another.”- Greater Jackson Habitat for Humanity

Thank you to Habitat for Humanity Espanola Valley & Los Alamos,Inc. for serving as the host affiliate!
