ECA - First Responder Course 

CareFlite will be offering the Emergency Care Attendant (ECA) Course in Kaufman County beginning February 9, 2019. This course is for the First Responders of Kaufman County. Classes will be held at the Kemp Fire Department on Saturdays.  This course has been approved by Texas Department of State Health Services.  You must complete the course with a minimum grade of 75 as well as make a 75 on the final exam in order to qualify for the NREMT exam.  Students are only allowed to miss a total of 6 classroom hours.

 

Course tuition is $150.00 and is due upon registration in order to reserve a seat in the course.

To participate in the course, you must have all of the following                           - Ability to lift 125lbs                                                                                                                                               - A clear background with no offense greater than a Class C Misdemeanor                                                   - A high school diploma or GED

***American Heaart Association Basic Life Support is part of the curriculum and all participants will be issued cards upon completion of the course.

 

All students are responsible for purchasing the textbook:       AAOS Emergency Medical Responder - 6th Edition

*** 6th Edition must be utilized***
