How PR practioners can be more effective communicators through design thinking

Research is step numero uno in any good public relations plan. Our college courses taught us to engage our audiences, survey, conduct focus groups, etc. to develop our messages, tactics and metrics.

Fast forward to today and you've likely heard about design thinking. At a quick glance, it has strong similarities to what we learned about research -- but it takes it to a whole new level.

Join us on January 17 to learn how design thinking could be used in your organization. Our guides for this session will be Kirk Eklund and Brandy Arnold, program managers with Public Agency, WMCAT's social-impact design firm.

What to expect:

  • Intro to Public Agency
  • Overview of design thinking + story
  • Learn about empathy tool/posture/behavior
  • Case study: How does this work IRL
  • Q&A

FEES:
Chapter Members $25
Nonmembers $40
Students $20
AMA Member $35

Please RSVP by January 14.
