Hospice Regulatory Boot Camp

Weatherbee Resources has provided more than 59 Hospice Regulatory Boot Camps across the country since 2006. More than 4,000 hospice professionals, surveyors, consultants, and others have attended Weatherbee's two-day boot camps for in-depth, timely and relevant information related to hospice regulations, compliance challenges and managing hospice scrutiny. 

Hospices across the country utilize Weatherbee's Boot Camps for orienting new staff and for the on-going training of Executive Directors, Hospice Medical Directors and Team Physicians, Clinical Managers, Corporate Compliance Officers, QAPI Coordinators, the Interdisciplinary Group, and others.

An additional third day of presentations, Striving for Documentation Success, continues discussion of the three case studies from Boot Camp and covers utilization of the Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs), hospice assessment tools (FAST, KPS, PPS, NYHA), documentation strategies and examples, PEPPER, TPE, and much more.

CCB  The Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® has approved this event for up to 19.3 CCB CEUs. Continuing Education Units are awarded based on individual attendance records. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by CCB of this event content or of the event sponsor.

CME  This Live activity, Hospice Regulatory Boot Camp and Striving for Documentation Success Workshop, from 03/18/2019 - 12/18/2019, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to   19.00 Elective credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses  Continuing education for nurses is provided by Relias, LLC. Relias is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American  Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). Nurses will receive approximately 10 contact hours for participation in the two-day Boot Camp and approximately 5 contact hours for participation in the additional third day Documentation activity.

The Hospice Regulatory Boot Camp meets the criteria for completion of Regulatory & Compliance Issues, a Level II Module of NHPCO's Manager Development Program (MDP).

Texas  Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization is an approved provider of continuing education for Hospice Administrators by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Criteria for Judging Successful Completion: Participants will only receive CE credit if they sign-in and remain present for the entire two days of the conference. Partial credit will not be given. Once the conference is over, the participant will be required to complete an evaluation survey online. Once the participant completes the conference evaluation, a certificate will automatically generate for the participant to print.

Handout materials, continental breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon breaks included each day.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation within 2 weeks of event is $100 fee. Substitution of another person from your hospice for same Boot Camp/3rd Day is no charge.
