Join us for the ACT for MS Spring Gala - Nelda Linsk, Then and Now. This fantastic event, benefiting Coachella Valley residents suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, is on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort and Spa.

Nelda Linsk is a beloved valley icon. Shehas worn many hats in her 40+ years in the desert, from socialite to cultural patron; from philanthropist to real estate agent; and as a long-time board member of ACT for MS and the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center. She is perhaps most widely known as the yellow-clad bathing beauty in the timeless Slim Aarons' photo Poolside Gossip, now an enduring symbol of Palm Spring’s Modernism legacy. Nelda was a friend to many Hollywood celebrities who often frequented the Palm Springs Racquet Club, including Dinah Shore, Kirk and Anne Douglas, and Frank and Barbara Sinatra, to name a few. Barbara and Nelda became life long friends so it was natural for Barbara to invite Nelda to join the board of the Children’s Center bearing her name.  In much the same way, Nelda joined the board of directors of ACT for MS upon the urging of another valley icon (and our Founder), the late Gloria Greer. Gloria used to say it wasn't a great party until Nelda Linsk arrived! And so, let the party begin as we celebrate Nelda’s nearly half century of style, philanthropy, and fun in Palm Springs!
