TABA members are invited to meet in Austin on February 19th and 20th for TABA's Legslative Day.  We have speakers planned to inform you of proposed legislation that will affect our industry, regulatory issues and the possible changes that may happen as result of the Judges ruling on the constitutionality of ACA. 

We will spend an afternoon visiting with legislators in the Capital about proposed legislation. You will be part of a group with a desiginated speaker that will hand out information.  It will be an interesting afternoon and you will be helping to introduce TABA to legislators and their staff.  

Exhibitors Space

Exhibitors will be in the main conference meeting room around the perimeter of the room.  Each exhibitor will have a 6' table top exhibit space.  Booth space will be assigned in the order registrations are received.  There is link on the left for an Exhibitors Contract.  Please download the form, complete and sign it and return it to TABA.  You will also need to register.  The registration link is below also.

All Exhibitors will be sent an electronic copy of all conference attendees with their contact information after the conferece.  There will also be a listing of all registrants in the conferece notebook that is on the flash drive you will receive when you check in at the conference.

After receipt of your registration and Exhibitor Contract, you will receive an exhibitor packet with additional information about the conference.

Hotel 

The Renaissance Austin Hotel is conveniently located near The Arboretum, just north of the city's downtown district.  It is 18 miles NW of Austin Bergstrom Airport and 12 miles north of the Capital.

The TABA room block price is $189.00.  The deadline for room reservations at the group rate is January 28th.

Registration

Conference registration rates are listed below.  There is a discounted rate for additional registrants from the same company.  Your dues must be current to register at the “Member rate”.  Contact Phyllis Campbell if you are not sure about the status of your dues.   Late fees apply to registration fees after Friday, February 8th.

Golf

Golf will be the day before the Conference begins, on Monday, February 18th. There will be reserved tee times at Avery Ranch Golf Club for those who want to play.  Tee times will begin at 1:00. There will be prizes and you can register and pay for golf on the online registration page when you register for the conference.  The Golf Club is located at 10500 Avery Club Dr.

There are special golf sponsorships available, as well as tee box signs for your company's name that you can purchase.  Pricing is on the sponsorship registration page.

Silent Auction

We will have a Silent Auction at the Conference to benefit our PAC Fund.  If you have an item or service you would like to donate to the Silent Auction, please contact Phyllis Campbell.  Please support the auction at the conference.  If you cannot attend, you can make a contribution directly to the PAC Fund.  Mail any contributions to the TABA office.  No corporate checks please.

Our PAC funds are used to make contributions to Texas Legislators/Candidates that have shown support of the health care insurance industry issues and that support pro-business and pro-employer's legislation in Texas.
