Join us as FCAAN celebrates Black History Month with our 2nd Annual Legacy Gala event. An evening dedicated to black achievement in art and music honoring popular artists such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Stevie Wonder, and a special tribute to The Queen of soul. Proceeds will benefit several local non-profit organizations.

Q: What is The Legacy Gala?
A: An Evening of music, theatre, and dance presented by the Fiat Chrysler African Ancestry Network and Ghost Light Productions (the production company that brought the cast of "The Lion King" to FCA). This is the Legacy Gala's 2nd year, and for 2019, Detroit's most talented performing artists will come together in celebration of Nat King Cole, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, a tribute to The Queen of Soul, and featuring a special performance by the internationally renowned hip-hop ballet ensemble from Chicago, HIPLET.

Q: What is the purpose of the Legacy Gala?
A: To celebrate Black History Month, honor the legacy of Black artistic excellence, network in a culturally inspiring atmosphere, and raise funds for youth arts education and other youth-centered programs.

Q: When is the Legacy Gala? 
A: Saturday, February 23rd, beginning at 7pm

Q: How is the evening broken out?
A: 7pm Cocktail Reception; 8pm Concert Performance; 9:30pm After Glow  

Q: What is the dress for the evening?
A: Cocktail Attire / Urban chic

Q: How much are tickets?
A: $50 General Admission and $75 VIP (VIP includes preferred seating and upscale dinner cuisine)

Q: Will you be selling tickets at the door?
A: No – the event will sell out prior to the night of the event.

Q: Where do proceeds go?
A: Proceeds benefit The Midnight Golf Program, The United Negro College Fund, The Rhonda Walker Foundation, The Tarence Wheeler Foundation, and The Helping Hands Campaign for the Arts.

Q: Where is the event?
A: FCA's newly remodeled Conner Avenue Conference Center at 20000 Conner Ave. in Detroit, MI (where FCA's classic car collection is currently housed).

Q: What is included with my ticket?
A: All guests will enjoy an Evening of Artistic Excellence, Complimentary Valet Parking, Complimentary Coat Check, Passed Hors D'oeuvres, and Open Bar.

Q: What is the lower age limit?
A: The event is not for younger children, but teenagers would probably enjoy.

Q: What is the parking situation?
A: Complimentary on-site valet parking is included.

A: No, the event is open to everyone (which is why we are sure it will sell out).
