What is CROSS?
A week at CROSS will CHANGE your life and your perspectives! At CROSS Missions you will be challenged to feed the hungry, house the homeless and love those in need. The formula is simple. Combine worship, reflection and service. Serve others morning and afternoon. Reflect and celebrate with devotions and worship, morning and evening. Through Christ, however, the results are anything but simple. People are transformed, returning home ready to meet the needs of their communities. CROSS is all about crossing over boundaries that divide us, crossing out stereotypes that judge us and sharing Christ’s love. PLUS! We always have tons of time for recreation and play time as a group so that we not only serve but bond together as a youth group and enjoy being together. More information about the CROSS can be found here

Pre-trip meeting: Thursday, June 20th @ 6pm
**Participate in DPC Youth Group events during Spring 2019.
Ideally, a youth going to CROSS will participate 1-2 times EACH MONTH in the spring to ensure that they have built relationships with their youth group peers and adult leaders. This becomes crucial when our entire group of 30+ people is staying in close quarters together in Charlotte and spending long days together serving, playing and reflecting on our experiences. At a minimum we ask that youth participate in two youth group events (at least one being a service project event) prior to our Summer Trip Prep Night on April 14.
We always hope that our summer trips create and enhance a youth’s long-lasting relationships with God and their church family (near and far). We also hope that our youth put their faith in action by gathering in community, worshipping, and serving others not just for one week in the summer but all year round. Thus, we encourage youth going on summer trips to join us throughout the year! Please see the Spring calendar for dates.
If participation on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings or Wednesday evenings will be difficult for your child, please be in touch with Allysen so that you all can brainstorm other ways to build relationships this spring.
