"Community Connections: Deep Roots Are Not Reached by the Frost"

This event is being held in conjunction with the New York State Parenting Education Partnership's Local Coalitions grant. It will explore with participants the ways in which people (especially parents) and organizations have developed deep connections that led to shared learning, protection from adversity, and the fulfillment of dreams.

Keynote Speaker:
Danielle Asher, Family Leadership Network

Family Leadership Network (FLN) is a growing statewide network providing tools and resources for families to choose the path to positively impact their own community. FLN provides training and technical assistance in the areas of: Leadership Mentoring, Transforming Schools and Elevating Communities. Ms. Asher will speak about the Importance and benefits of family engagement and leadership and how the Family Leadership Network is a growing network of family leaders on Long Island and in New York State.

The registration fee for Organizational participants (those whose registration is being paid by an organization) is $40. The registration fee for Individual participants (those who are paying for their own registration) is $10. Registration fee includes light breakfast and lunch.
