Unity in Diversity - Hope

We had our initial meeting on January 7, 2019, at which we expressed diverse and disparate backgrounds and expectations for sharing and exploring our differences and common humanity. In the last few years of divisive tribalism, we are all seeking ways of bridging the gaps that divide us and strengthening the bonds that we share. There was some feedback after the meeting and we would like to pursue some of the suggestions.

At the February 4th meeting, to mark the separation from the noisy world we are living in and the more contemplative world we want to create, we will begin with a short period of meditation, and then we will talk about more ways of structuring and focusing our future meetings. Let’s bring articles that strike us as relevant, and perhaps we will choose the Bruce Feiler book, Abraham, as the basis for our March meeting.

We are all encouraged to bring friends of different backgrounds.

Join us, and let us discuss among ourselves!

Organized by Miriam Jacobson, Beverly Hayden and Yoko Barnes with Nevan Hamid.
