Course Description: Children who exhibit challenging behavior often need support in developing social and emotional skills. During this course, educators will explore the importance of developing positive relationships and providing an environment that helps children to build these skills. Participants will also learn about and practice techniques that promote positive behavior and long lasting life skills.
Objectives:
• Summarize how my relationship with a child can influence his or her behavior
• Identify strategies that can be used to design classroom environments that promote positive behaviors
• List teaching strategies and activities that can be used to promote positive behaviors.
