The Emerging Leaders & United Way proudly present the 1st     Co-Ed Dodgeball tournament benefiting the Emerging Leaders Christmas Secret Santa Program for local children!

Emerging Leaders & the Secret Santa Program

The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore Emerging Leaders are an affinity group who promote and encourage the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism among young professionals in Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Dorchester Counties. Our efforts are focused on Lower Eastern Shore’s children and youth. It is our belief that the best way to invest in the future of the lower shore is to invest in its youngest residents.

One of the many initiatives we participate in every year is the Secret Santa Program. Annually this program provides holiday gifts, clothing and meals to those students in the public school system identified by the local school administrators as low income, at risk families. Last year the program provided 52 individual students and siblings with Christmas joy! The group shopped, wrapped and delivered gifts and meals to the families. Being able to provide special holiday gifts and food eases the financial stress the season often brings on top of existing financial challenges. 

It is the goal of the group that by creating this fundraiser we can support many more families in 2019!
