Is the Balance of Career and Christ possible?
Many questions swirl as we consider this concept of spiritual balance.
· How can I be fully devoted to Christ and yet spend 40-50 hours in a professional role?
· Is there such a thing as true spiritual balance and what does that look and feel like?
· What can help give us a sense of internal peace that we are not compromising our number one mission even while we develop professionally?
· What would help me know when the scales are tipping too far towards career development?

Pouring into you while you pour into others
“So often, the things that tug at our hearts and distract us from the pursuit of intimacy with God are good things – important responsibilities, significant commitments, and even God-given visions. But these good things can so easily crowd out the best thing – communion with Jesus.”
Steve Fry
The Lord has created a woman’s heart to nurture – even in the workplace.
In Isaiah 49:15 God compares the nurturing love of woman to the faithfulness of our heavenly Father. “Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget but I will not forget you.”
While we have desire to nurture, it seems we need permission to be nurtured. Let’s start the year reflecting on where we need to be poured into this year.
